Very Few Garage Sales

So today we had a busy day ahead of us. First garage sales. There were very few listed in the paper but we hit around 7 of them. Not much to brag about though.

This little Bobble Head cost .25c

This apothacary(spell) jar cost .75c

Also got DD a dress for $1, me a skirt for $1, a handful of Christian CD's $2.20 for all and a workout VHS for .50.

Then off to Kroger. Spent over 2 hours in there trying to figure out coupon deals and I know when I go through my box there are going to be so many I could have used and forgot about. Figures. But the grand total was $77 and change and the total savings was $83 and change. So 52% wasn't too bad. It would have been better but DH thinks when we go to a grocery store he's got to load the buggy with fruit which I'm proud of him because it's healthy but unfortunately, no coupons, which got my total on up there.

Happy Thrifting everyone.

I seriously think that produce companies should put out coupons. Why not encourage people to eat healthy? Its like they want you to eat bad or something! lol. I love my coupons though, glad Im not the only one! I love that jar. Too cute! Great finds! I think 52% savings is amazing...Im not that good with out groceries yet. Normally I spend about 120 and get about 30 dollars off so I normally spend 90 dollars in the end....you should give me some tips :)

I cannot pass up those jars!

I know what you mean on the fresh fruit/veggies. You want to eat them but they definitely drive that bill up.

Have you ever checked out Southern Savers website? She talks about joining a food coop to buy fruits and veggies for much less.

Come for a visit.

Hi
I am always amazed at people who can save so much at the grocery store. My DH clips the coupons and we always save a little, but nothing like you did!
Thanks for stopping by. I am always happy to meet a new blogging friend.
Hugs, Rhondi
